These are just... so. good. It's hard to describe the combination of crispiness, sweetness, umami, and a hint of salt. Make this tonight.

  • 1 28 oz. can whole tomatoes drained
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Cut canned tomatoes in half or in quarters

  3. Spread evenly on baking sheet lined with parchment paper, aluminum foil, or a silicone baking mat

  4. Drizzle olive oil over all tomatoes, and then sprinkle with salt and pepper

  5. Bake for about an hour and twenty minutes - tomatoes should be caramelized and crispy around the edges, but not burnt

  6. Serve with pasta, on crusty bread, or just plain as a snack!
