Hummus

 

Once you make your own hummus, you'll definitely cut back on buying it at the store.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans chickpeas drained
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled
  • 2 lemons juiced
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to food processor
  • Blend for at least 30 seconds
  • Check consistency and add additional olive oil or a tablespoon of water if too thick
  • Taste and add additional lemon juice, salt, or pepper as needed

Notes

Serve with some extra olive oil drizled on top, and a sprinkle of cumin or smoked paprika. Great with carrots, celery, pita chips, crackers, or whatever you'd prefer.
